Description

Cuarenta (aka 40) is a handsome, 18 yr. old gelding who is in need of a new partner. His old owner, who raised him from a colt, had unfortunate health problems and could no longer ride his best friend. It tore his heart out to let him go, but he knows this beautiful boy has so much left in him to give, he made one of the hardest decisions of his life. He’s entrusted this 15.2 hand REGISTERED and beautifully bred gelding to the TRIO and we are hoping to find the perfect match for this deserving guy. This boy LOVES to go out on trails. He would spend hours with his old owner out on the trail exploring over hill and dale, through all kinds of weather. We have ponied other horses off this brave guy, in the DARK! No spook, buck or bolt. He lived with at least 4 dogs big and small! He has a sweet personality but you can tell he’s proud and knows his job. He loves to go out alone or in a group. We’ve had him in the arena with different levels of riders. He will do arena work – but its not his passion. He stands tied, he’s an easy keeper but boy does he LOVE to eat! Lock up your Alfalfa folks cause this dude is so smart he can unlock his own gate, get into your shed and fix himself a 7 course dinner! We have papers in hand and the vet has given him a thumbs up - he’s ready to hit the trails with you! Please come visit this guy…he’s a diamond in the rough and could be a great partner out on the trails for YOU, your significant other…and dare we say…grandma! Maybe you could even rustle up some cows with him!

If you're looking for your next unicorn, we have wonderful horses of all ages and disciplines who are looking for a loving new home.  The right home is the priority for Tough Luck Trio and our horses!

Our horses are never forgotten

Each and everyone one of these horses holds a special place in our heart!  Believe it or not, 3 of us don't always bond with a horse together.  Sometimes horses like one of us better than the other or responds better to one person…etc.  When they leave, they take a piece of us with them...
