Journey is a tall and handsome 8 yr old gelding. 🤠He’s in on consignment with The Trio as he’s just been hanging out in the pasture with his old owner, and they felt he was too talented and good looking to be a lawn ornament or greeter at their ranch. He’s beautifully bred but being sold as grade. With NO tattoo this thoroughbred has talents waiting to be uncovered. He was started as a hunter jumper and could make someone a great jumping partner! He hasn’t been ridden in over a year and the Trio threw a saddle over this bad boy and but on our cowgirl breeches and hopped on to see what would happen! He walked, trotted and loped in the arena…he was of course a little lookey as it was a new place with new sights and smells. This 16hh, half shod gelding did so well in the arena that we said “what the hell, let’s live life on the edge and take him on the trail!” He hasn’t been used as a trail horse but this boy was BRAVE!! He walked over a bridge without even knowing it, fought off rabid grasshoppers bouncing off his face and even walked up to a gopher snake! We did have to walk him by a few stationary objects a few times that could’ve suddenly come alive and killed him but he worked right through it with Cindy and kept going. The more we ride this guy the more valuable he becomes so if you’ve got a budget or are just thinking about it you might want to jump up and grab is this wonderful opportunity! He has been with his owner since he was just a wee colt of 18 months. He’s got a sweet disposition and settled in so nicely to the change in his environment. He’s up to date on all vaccinations and is an easy keeper. We are telling you all - this guy is pretty amazing. He could go in many different directions and completely worth your consideration!
Each and everyone one of these horses holds a special place in our heart!  Believe it or not, 3 of us don't always bond with a horse together.  Sometimes horses like one of us better than the other or responds better to one person…etc.  When they leave, they take a piece of us with them...
